YOUNG Hotels Denia is expanding. And the doors stay open.

YOUNG Hotels Denia is entering its next chapter. Our hotel in the mountains above Dénia is expanding with new rooms in the main house and a series of new tiny houses across the estate, with one clear goal: welcoming guests in 18 stays at the same time, up from eleven today. The expansion is expected to be completed in March 2027. And while the work is under way, the hotel stays open.

From first check-in to next chapter

When YOUNG Hotels welcomed its first guests in April 2025, it did so in a house with a story. The main building was built in the 1940s as the administration house of the Isbert dam, and was restored into a place where nature and comfort share the same address.

Since then, the hotel has grown step by step. Next to the seven rooms in the main house came two villas with their own heated pools, a glass-fronted wooden cabin with views towards the Bay of Dénia, and Casa Buganvilla, a two storey family house for up to six guests. In March 2026, El Portó opened its doors: the hotel’s restaurant, open to guests and visitors alike, cooking with produce from growers and suppliers a few kilometres away.

The next step is about making room for more people to experience the valley.

What is changing

The expansion takes shape in two places.

In the main house, new rooms are being added: two on the upper floor and several more on the ground floor. They bring more guests into the heart of the hotel, a few steps from the terrace, the pool and El Portó.

Across the estate, new tiny houses will be added. Compact, private and surrounded by the landscape, they bring a format YOUNG already knows well from The Lake Tiny Houses at De Kaag, in the Netherlands, to the Mediterranean mountains.

Together, the new rooms and tiny houses take YOUNG Hotels Denia to 18 stays that can be booked at the same time. More room for couples looking for silence, for families and groups travelling together, and for the weddings, offsites and celebrations the hotel already hosts.

Open during the works

Growing a hotel does not mean closing it. YOUNG Hotels Denia remains open throughout the renovation, and guests can keep booking the rooms, the villas, the cabin and Casa Buganvilla as usual. For any questions about specific dates, the reservations team is happy to help.

More room for the valley

What makes Denia special does not change. The Vall de Laguar is a place where hiking trails replace streets, days move slower and the night sky is dark enough to watch the stars without interruption. The Mediterranean is close by, and Alicante and Valencia airports are about an hour away.

Guests can shape their days around the landscape, with horse riding through the trails, sailing along the coast, yoga in the valley, beekeeping with local producers, guided wine tours or a massage in the middle of nature. Or simply a long lunch on the terrace, with nobody in a hurry to bring the bill.

The expansion simply means that more people will be able to live it at the same time.

Room for a partner

The next chapter is also an invitation. Through the YOUNG partnership programme, the hotel in the Vall de Laguar is open to an operating partner who wants to help shape and run it. YOUNG supports the renovation and the expansion to more rooms, and adds branding, revenue management, marketing and booking support. The partner leads the local team, the daily operations and the guest experience.

It is the same way YOUNG works across the group. Franchise agreements, brand licences and management agreements, built around what each partner brings, with the scope, the responsibilities and, where relevant, the financing agreed before anything starts. For Denia, that means an experienced hotel operator with an entrepreneurial approach.
