How are the ideas that build our ventures born?

At YOUNG, we think that ideas are born when conversations intersect, and in moments that may seem insignificant at first glance. Technology can help us move forward and organise processes, but it will never replace human intuition, nor that spark that appears when two people look at the same thing from different angles. And that spark is usually the starting point of our ventures.

With this new chapter of the blog, we open a window into our invisible process: how the ideas that drive our entrepreneurship ecosystem are built.

What happens behind the scenes?

Looking back over the past few months, we find a pattern that keeps repeating. The ideas shaping the group’s direction emerged in everyday places.

A spontaneous conversation in the YOUNG Workspaces.

A journey between Valencia and The Hague.

A voice note sent late at night with a “maybe this doesn’t make much sense, but I’m sharing it anyway”.

Small seeds that travel fast and change shape several times before they have a name. But above all, they’re planted quickly to see whether they’re capable of growing.

The journey of an idea inside YOUNG: once it appears, the process begins.

Someone throws it out, someone else interprets it.
Someone grounds it in a document, and when it returns to the beginning, it no longer resembles what it once was. It may have improved, or the initial idea might still make the most sense.

But what’s clear is that it’s not a linear process: it’s a collaborative journey that combines creativity, intuition, business vision, and brings everyone into the process.

Each venture is the result of a shared journey between teams, countries, and thinking styles.

Our way of creating

YOUNG was born with a simple conviction: if you bring together curious people with room to explore and permission to make mistakes, ideas will appear on their own. Searching for perfect concepts on the first try would be a mistake, but we do constantly look for signals.
These small hints make us all pause for a second and think: there might be something here.

That philosophy, as simple as it is, has allowed our ventures to grow with their own identity.

Where it all really begins.
No venture begins in a document. It starts in a conversation, in a shared glance, in a comment that shifts the direction, or in a concern several of us share without realising it.

Innovation at YOUNG is a habit. And it happens thanks to all the people who are part of this ecosystem and who, with each contribution, help ideas find their way.

To those building YOUNG in Spain and the Netherlands: thank you for being the place where the ideas that will shape what’s next begin.
