THE HAGUE, Thursday 2 July – YOUNG Hospitality Group has acquired LOF, located on Breitnerlaan in The Hague. The transaction was completed by Juan Cruz Mesigos, Director and purchaser on behalf of YOUNG Hospitality Group, together with Marcel de Kroes, seller on behalf of Bistro Lof.

The location, formerly operating as Bistro Lof and before that as the renowned Lof der Zotheid, will be redeveloped into LOF Pizza & Pasta, a contemporary Italian restaurant where quality, hospitality and a family-friendly experience come together.

The acquisition marks another important milestone in the development of YOUNG Hospitality Group, which is building an integrated hospitality platform designed for sustainable, scalable growth across the Netherlands.

For many years, the Breitnerlaan location has been a well-known destination within The Hague’s hospitality scene. Following its previous chapters as Lof der Zotheid and later Bistro Lof, the venue is now entering a new phase under YOUNG Hospitality Group.

LOF Pizza & Pasta will become a welcoming Italian neighbourhood restaurant serving handcrafted pizzas, fresh pasta and genuine hospitality. A dedicated children’s play area will make the restaurant especially attractive for families, allowing parents and children to enjoy a relaxed dining experience together.

One hospitality platform, four unique concepts

With the addition of LOF Pizza & Pasta, YOUNG Hospitality Group’s hospitality portfolio now consists of:

  • LOF Pizza & Pasta
  • Brasserie Runners
  • Italo Disco
  • Bitterkoud

While each concept maintains its own identity, all businesses are supported by one integrated hospitality platform.

This shared infrastructure includes:

  • A central production kitchen
  • Shared operational teams
  • Central purchasing
  • Recruitment and talent development
  • Marketing and branding
  • Operational support
  • Technology, automation and AI integration

This approach allows new locations to be developed more efficiently while maintaining consistent quality across every concept.

The Hague as the foundation for national expansion

YOUNG Hospitality Group deliberately launched its first hospitality concepts in The Hague.

Over the past several years, the city has served as a testing ground where concepts, operational processes, technology and guest experiences have been developed and refined.

With this foundation now firmly in place, the group is preparing to expand into other attractive cities across the Netherlands.

As part of this strategy, Brasserie Runners will open a compact neighbourhood location on Prinsestraat in The Hague in autumn 2026.

The group’s newest concept, Bitterkoud, is expected to open later this month, subject to the completion of the final municipal formalities.
